St. Mary's Bethany Convent Vidyalaya is located at Nagaram, when there was no other schools to teach the children in the rural area where there is no proper infrastructure to attract the children at least to attend the school for not only education even for discipline. There was a mentality of the village people to not send the children that too girl children for education which they thought is not necessary. That days we sisters surveyed the entire villages from Nagarm and near by and decided to open a school with the intention of bringing the children with good habits, discipline also education for which we decided to spend our money from our trust as we started to encourage and educate the parents to send their children to school. We have open the school at Nagaram, side by villages where having even now also agriculture was their livelihood for which children also they utilize at their field. Being a Christian charity that too done by only nuns, having single part of uplifting poor and mostly girl children. Normally by opening the school we proved our school till now “no commercial thought” only to serve the children uplift the children-educate them and bring the discipline in them. Our motive is only service that to without any expectation, with the nominal fee comparatively with all the schools around usin the area. We have voluntarily Exam centre so that we can provide still better service. Service is our motto, for which we have already made all the infrastructures and we requested the education department to provide us permission for plus two (Intermediate for girls) Our motto to serve for children and put the maximum effort to bring them up till we feel that we succeed our goal. Opening a school at a backward area-rural areais not a commercial thought. Service, selfless service, the training we are providing for to our staff to serve them better we have good infrastructure-good education and but atmosphere not only for academic education even for technical, sports, science etc. but we too need an encouragement from your side to fulfill our desire of better future for children. We keep our staff happy so that they can also work with us with full satisfaction and provide good education to our children. We do not compromise in our services by which we are achieving our goal till today practically. As we have best atmosphere, vast playground, computer lab, library, science lab, digital lab and what not ?
